Strong and long lasting

Spring is springing

According to the calendar, spring is now officially here. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, nature (mother and father) does not work to days of the week. In the aboriginal culture, those that have been in this land longest, there are 6, in some cases 7 seasons, accounting for all the tiny changes that happen amongst the big ones, which seeds notice even if our calendar does not.

It's easy to forget that seeds are living things, even if they look all dried up and dead, and they know what is happening in the soil, its temperature and moisture and will respond when they know the time is just right. So, if you are wanting seeds to germinate, take them out of the draw, remove them from the envelope and give them living, breathing soil so they can get on and do their job. They know what is needed and when its right but have to be in it (the soil) to grow it.

Bearing all this in mind and understanding that there are microclimates everywhere, below are some suggestions as to what can be planted in September.

Things are heating up and the R&R for all is coming to an end. Deep breath, plenty to do.

Enjoy!
