We are not the only ones that get into the garden this time of the year, pests do also, and the Citrus Gall Wasp is one that loves citrus trees as much as we do.
This pest lays eggs in the growth of new branches, where the larvae develop, and as it grows it restricts the trees sap flow, which as you can imagine is no good for anything except the wasp.
You can treat them by using a combination of Citrus Guard White Spray and the Fruition Gall Wasp Trap. With the Citrus Guard White Spray, you spray it on the tree to form a white barrier on the bark that the wasp cannot penetrate. Unfortunately, you will have to apply it more than once during the season
The Fruition Gall Wasp trap attracts the wasp to it, and you can imagine the rest. You will need 1 trap per average size tree and place it in the outer canopy on the northern side of the tree
Both these options are environmentally friendly.
If it is not one thing then it is another! But that is gardening and the joy of the challenge!
Enjoy
